Road services support

Unbelievable It was a amazing service i received today from AAA my car is stopped in a busy Street in a morning during the rush hour

The AAA tow arrived within a 20 minutes. And surprised me with the safety services and great customer service and support and safe service driver mike i really appreciate you and AAA company

Comment: only what i didn't like at all the call center i am in the street in a bead situation and it's very hard to reach someone very quickly

I really recommend AAA services this's my first time experience

Terrible service in Texas!!

Our car wouldn't start out of the blue on a road trip. Called AAA, had a rude dispatcher, waited over an hour and no one came. When I called to check the status (the text prompt to check status was not working) I was told that the service we called for was cancelled because the contractor called could not provide the service needed. No one called us, despite having my phone number. Luckily a Good Samaritan helped us and we were able to get back on the road. So disappointed!!!

Did not honor quote

After providing the requested information to insure my two cars, including an 'accident' that required $1100 ($250 deductible), I was provided a quote. In the follo-up call I again provided the same details of the 'accident' but was told that my premium would increase by $400/year. Although I was disappointed by this I accepted and was charged the membership fee and down payment for the policy. However, during the document signing process I discovered that the name of the former owner of my house purchased from them in 1997 was listed on my policy. I asked that this name be removed but received pushback by the agent that this name was required to be on the policy. I did not agree with this and asked that the policy be cancelled and all monies be refunded. To date, I received the refund for the policy but only $51.50 of the $71.50 membership fee. Follow-up email and call to the agent have been unanswered. A follow-up call to his manager was also unanswered. Would not deal with AAA for my insurance needs.

Waste of time with AAA

My VW bus needed a tow and 2 hours later I was still waiting as they could not find an in-area service provider and were looking farther a field. I told them to cancel my request and had my wife come out and tow me with a rope. Why do I have this service? And I have the premier service to boot. Waste of time and money.

I LOVE AAA

I have been stranded and they have taken care of my vehicle for me. They are always willing to get you unlocked out of your car. They charge a 75 dollar fee for a locksmith. They also do provide gas if you run out. To get the everything package it is very expensive though but in my opinion worth it. They suggest having a 20,000 yearly income to afford the smallest package. They do usually take a long time to arrive

Honestly not the best

we were stranded on the side of the road in the middle of a desert.
called aaa. no one came for HOURS. come to find out that they had 'lost' the call and we had called multiple times. the independent company that helped us eventually was really awesome and friendly, but aaa was not helpful in connecting the two.

Overall an Excellent Deal

I have used them off and on for years. It pays for itself just on the hotel discounts and matinee movie passes that can be used at night. The best part is, the roadside service. They will help you 3 times included in the membership if your car breaks down or you lock yourself out of your house.

Booking hotels

On 2 separate road trips, I called AAA to book hotels for me. Once we hit awful traffic near D.C. And wanted to quit for the day. It's great when you don't know where you will feel like stopping. I told what I wanted , pool, hot tub, fitness room, close to highway exit, etc.
In just a couple of minutes I had a room booked and good directions to get there! It's definitely the way to go!

Expensive but worth it

I've found that compared to other Car Insurance companies, AAA is a bit expensive. However, everything you get for the price is worth it. AAA can help you plan a trip-give you maps or directions & highlight routes, provide deals/promotions that are going on. Excellent support, roadside assistance, the list goes on and on.

Local access needed when traveling

AAA has always been great for me even when traveling out of state. One problem, however. I was out of state in NV when I got locked out. The only number to call was the 800 number. They put me on hold due to a "heavy caller volume" for 15 minutes. At least they told me how long it would be. When I told them where I was, they had to transfer me to that local club but then the call was dropped. I started over but the wait was 25 minutes. This time it worked and as usual it was great help. I was in the desert competing with callers from several snow storms in other parts of the country. There was no way for me to access the local NV club. WHY NOT??!! Even the yellow pages in NV lists only the 800 number. AAA, there has to be an easier solution to this problem.

Saved me!

This is such a great service for any driver. I was stranded a few weeks ago in my health department's parking lot with my 3 month-old daughter and could not find anyone to help me ((I was in the overflow lot and not many people were coming in and out). I called AAA and they jumped me in about 30 minutes. It was a lifesaver! The man who helped me was very nice and courteous. Recommended! It's a great service for a great price!

Not there when needed

I have been a AAA member for over 30 years and have always been very pleased with the service. My husband and I insure all of our vehicles through AAA and generally find them a very easy company to deal with. However something just happened with them which makes me wonder if they aren't beginning to spiral down the drain. My 21 year old daughter recently bought a car in L.A. and was driving it back to school in Colorado when she had a breakdown in rural Utah at 11:00p.m. She called AAA for roadside assistance and was told that her roadside assistance credits had been used up...odd since we haven't used the service in years! Luckily a friend who was with her was able to use his card for a tow. I called AAA to complain. They told me we had the credit and that someone would contact me shortly. That was almost two weeks ago. I plan to follow up with my grievance because I hate to think what would have happened had her friend not been with her!

AAA is no longer the meaning of their symbol

I resigned AAA due to their unethical and fraudulent tactics. If you google aaa mid atlantic lawsuits you will see where they are in court now for sending a unqualified tower that ran over a 55 year old mom and killed her. I have a recent video where they have done nothing to prevent this from happening again. They no longer care about their members other than how much they can get out of them.

AAA+ Service

I have never had any problems with AAA, when I have needed a tow they are there in a timely matter and when I have needed a locksmith or battery jump they would send someone out within the hour. The only problem I see is not even directly their fault, they use local towing services, every now and then the tow driver does not seem happy to see you. I understand that they may not like their job but at least try and smile!

AAA IS UNETHICAL - CHARGING CREDIT CARD WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION

I have been a AAA member since at least 1999. I moved from Ohio to Indiana in December of 2010 and there is no AAA office within 50 miles of where I now live (I would be in the Chicago service "area" and Chicago is 175 miles from here). I was traveling quite a bit back and forth settling my home sale, etc. so I kept my AAA membership which did not expire until 9/30/11 in case I encountered trouble along the way. In late August, I received a renewal package WHICH I DID NOT RETURN AND DID NOT AUTHORIZE RENEWAL OF MY MEMBERSHIP. AAA charged my credit card anyway, and I have been fighting this charge since September. The credit card company said the charge was "consistent" with past purchases even though I sent them copies of the renewal packet I did not fill out and return. AAA says I didn't tell them NOT to charge me, so the charge is valid. This is thievery pure and simple. I will not pay them; they can sue me if they want but I will not pay for a service I did not authorize and cannot even USE. Geez!

AAA SUCKS!!!

What can I say other than this company SUCKS. Long story short, they left me stranded on the freeway, we have paid them for almost 10yrs of service that included a few maps and alot of junk mail. We are done and feel really dumb for letting AAA take our money for so long. They don't care!!!!!

Another great experience with AAA!

I will always recommend this company! Even though I recently had another issue, they were again quick to respond and very sympathetic. I have enjoyed every interaction I have had with this company and have never been disappointed!

Didn't even have my card on me.

I recently moved out of state, so when my mother renewed my AAA membership for me, she had yet to send me my card. I broke down last week on the side of the freeway and was at a loss for what to do because my fiance was still asleep, my cousin was at work, and his parents were out of town so I had nobody to call to come rescue me. My mom texted me my AAA info and I was able to call and have a tow truck to me in about forty five minutes. I was soon on my way back to the repair shop with a very nice tow truck driver and AAA called me back to check and make sure I had been picked up! I have had many many great experiences with AAA and will always recommend their roadside assistance programs to everybody I know.

Good for the small things, but not if your car gets stolen.

My car was stolen and found 30 miles away. I paid AAA for 100 miles coverage annually so I was counting on them towing the car home. Not surprisingly they denied my request because stolen recovery was not covered. I was stranded and left paying a few hundred dollars to get my car home. The tow yard driver told me that AAA pays them very little and that's the reason why I was not getting any help.

After pondering a purchase of AAA...I did it! Good choice. I live alone in Florida as my spouse stuck in Illinois till house is sold. I work, leaving wee hours of the morning and also take road trips with a friend. Within a week of my signing up via computer....I had to call. My battery died. Staff was great...asking if I was "safe", a second rep called me back to say help was on the way. The Tow driver came in no time and even gave me some ice cold bottled water for the hot Florida temps. I am back on the road and so happy I made the choice to give myself a safety net. I got my real card a few days later. Thanks to the Pinellas Park area AAA. You are great! Donna C

Pretty good for the most part

Have had AAA for 24 years. Somebody always comes when you need them; problem is it might take 4 hours, or longer. Got stuck once in the snow and they never did come. Not fun. Pretty good deal for the money for the just the towing service alone.

great service!

I recently locked my keys in my car in 25 degree weather! I simply called AAA and they arrived in 25 minutes!!!! Needless i was a bit cold, but I was so happy to have AAA that night!

Worthwhile for Its Roadside Assistance

I relinquished my AAA membership years ago when I found I could get free roadside assistance from my insurance company and/or car manufacturer. Then when I needed that assistance -- in this case from my car manufacturer -- I had to wait 2½ hours! When the tow company finally arrived, the driver said that had it been an AAA call he would have been there within half an hour, as that's a requirement of the AAA contract. So I rejoined AAA.

AAA has other good benefits as well, mainly travel materials, incl. maps that can be personalized.

Good Customer Service, but...

On a recent outing with my sister-in-law we stopped at the local AAA office to look into their plans. The lady at the front was very pleasant to speak with, and her customer service was outstanding.

There was unfortunately a very disturbing even that took place while there. The lady asked if we had any family members who had AAA and we let her know my mother does. My SIL had given her their phone number, and apparently the saleslady found my mothers account with this number. She proceeded to tell us specific details about my mothers account! Including her full name, phone number, address, what plan she was on, and some other information.

Of course, we were both quite shocked about this, and my mother was livid. Needless to say, my sister-in-law and I did not sign up that day!

Also, despite all her previous good rapport and customer service, the rep ultimately failed to provide good service when she released all of my mothers info.

While I realize it was my mom, anyone who had her phone number could have been given this info by this careless rep.
