Dear Support,

Last week my windshield got a small crack...and i decided to take it for Hyundai main branch in Riyadh Walan Hyundai main branch to change this windshield.

After 4 days of maintenance in the branch...i have received the car replaced with the new windshield but the implementation was awful.

My notes was as the following:
1. The side panels/trims are not fitting the car body a big gab between them and the body of the care.

2. The left trim /panel have many scratches

3. The body beside the left trim also have scratched

4. The windshield is not fitting the body of the car...its higher than the body and the panorama roof

5. The left/right panels are not tightened to the body of the car...they can be moved by a human touch with his fingers

The Hyundai branch manager replied they will fix the problem but not sure if they will change the scratched trim/panel...and all the costs will be charged to the Hyundai employee who have was responsible of these mistakes.

In general...i have paid 600usd for a having a good maintenance...but looks like i will be loosing much more:

1. I have already paid 60usd for renting a car from outside of Hyundai
2. I will be renting again another car after returning my Santa fe back for maintenance
3. Hyundai will not cover me with a new left trim/panel

Looking for your support please...

Rg,
Waleed AlRamahi Hyundai Santa fe 2.4 2015 owner

I have a 2007 Santa Fe. I have been very happy with the car but I am looking to buy a new car in the next 12 mos. I want to buy a hybrid SUV and was very disappointed to find out that Hyundai does not make any hybrid SUVs. This forces me to look at other car makes such as Toyota. Are you ever going to make a hybrid SUV

I have a 2011 hyundai sonata that has had problems after problems. The steering wheel feel as if it's going to come off. Several complaints have been made and not much done. Every 2011 should be fixed with that problem. Hyundai should be held accountable for the mess they're making.

I have had the aluminum trim on the back corner windoe of ky 13 elamtra gt fall off in both sides, the first time was taken care of and they whole window had to be replaced and tinted of course, now the other side has done the same. Definitely should not happen just by washing the car. The adhesive is not holding up. I feel this design is very poor on hyundai's part. Also the handle you hold to turn a.c vebt left or right, up or down, has broke off. I am the only driver ,so this is also a big problem. I have low miles 32 k ,and they will not replace this either. I am upset with hiw much we pay for cheaply thrown together cars.

We recently purchased a 2011 Sonata, which is an excellent car from top to bottom. Soon after our daughter and her husband bought a 2009 Sonata. Two weeks ago they were in a horrible head on wreck (not their fault). The Sonata is totaled, but it probably saved their lives. They are now shopping for another one. I will be a loyal Hyundai customer from now on.

I picked out the Hyundai Elantra for my mother years ago.Everyone was happy with the car.it passed inspection every year low maintenance.
My daughters and I were without a car for 4 years. No family around we use backpacks to carry our food home it was so hard(at least we were not barefoot ha ha). My son gave me his car 2002 Hyundai Elantra.I know it's old but it's rusting away.It won't pass inspection. I call about the recall it was done 2009.I the replacements format the call should have lasted longer.Im shocked that a Hyundai would rust like that.

I am the original owner of a 2013 Hyundai Elantra, limited edition. I have an issue with MICE, so far I have killed 5 of them. I have read your reviews on the Hyundai and I am not the only person with this issue, there are several posts on your site. I feel that they are coming through the vents. Among calling my dealer they told me to put Irish Spring soap in the vents. As a consumer of a brand new car I shouldn't have to put soap in my vents. Also off of your website there is a link to buy vent covers to prevent rodents from coming into the car. If enough people send in their complaints maybe Hyundai will deal with this problem and fix the vent system on a recall

We rented a sonata for five people expecting a comfortable rear seat. What a dissapolntment. The side passengers are forced into the middle because of the angle of the seats and the center passenger has to deal with the bump. I've never endured a more uncomfortable 5 hrs in my life. Suffice it to say I won't be buying one

Do not purchase an in car Navigation System from Hyundai. The day we drove the car off the lot the maps were outdated. We contacted the dealership and were told it would automatically update. It never updated. 3 years later the system is so bad it is dangerous to use. To update we have to pay Hyundai $200 each time. We now have a $200 Garmin in the car, with free lifetime map updates!!

I bought a 2013 Accent. Soon thereafter, it was announced that Hyundai had misrepresented the mileage given by some of their models, including mine. A program was brought about that refunded some owners for their gas usage. I am APPALLED that I own a small, allegedly economical car, and am getting no more than 21 miles per gallon. I might as well own a large SUV. What is going on? I previously owned an Elantra and had no problems or complaints, but this experience is just horrid. I am a senior citizen and need an economical car, NOT a gas guzzler.

I have a 2013 Tucson with 6000 km. After the recent bitter cold weather I noticed the plastic skid plate had broken around the 2 attaching bolts that hold it to the frame and was now hanging down. There is no damage to the skid plate and the vehicle was not abused. This is a design flaw - using a weak plastic attachments to the frame that clearly broke due to cold weather. Hyundai will not warranty this and it is several hundred dollars to replace. An SUV with a plastic, poorly attached skid plate??? I would not buy one of these vehicles again.

I purchased a 2009 Hyundai Accent in July 2009. The promised estimated city MPG was 24-27 mpg. I kept track of this for the fist several months and was only getting 21mpg and at times less. My dealer was surprised and wondered if I was calculating properly. Trust me, I know this stuff. I sort of shrugged it off until I read that the 2010 ad 2012 Accent owners got MPG rebates for the same reason. After 2 calls to customer service, I'm told there is nothing they can do. I have been deceived and cheated of 2 gallons per tank of gasoline I've paid for (yes, I can do that math, too!) I'm an unhappy customer and will be broadcasting such if no recourse is taken by Hyundai. And,trust me, I have a big mouth! Shame on them!

Hyundai is trying to ignore/explain away horrible gas mileage on my 2013 Sonata. I had a 2011 Sonata, same model, and I know the difference. Absolutely disgusted at this point and feel "TAKEN" by The Dealer and Hyundai who knows they have a serious problem with the car. I used to love the car "2011 model year" and now I hate it "2013 model year" and want out of the car bad. Forget Hyundai forever. I shou;ld have bought a Ford or Chevy!!!

.... July 27th, 2013

I have a 2011 Sonata, which I really like except for the noise that the tries make.

I even purchased a new tire (different brand) to see if the noise changed, it did in the new tire.

I will not buy another vehicle that has Kuhmo tires on it. So I guess that means no more Hyundai's for me.

.... May 17th, 2013

Do not buy a Hyundai! I bought two new 2011 accents, and have had a lot of problems with both. Terrible factory tires, bad spark plugs, stereo stopped working, power windows stopped working, battery problems, cars losing power and misfiring and no one knows why. Do yourself a favor and do not buy from Hyundai.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! My 2011 Sante Fe with 35k miles engine needs to be replaced--and because I can't prove that oil changes were done according to the manual they won't honor their warranty. Engine had full level of oil at all times. I'm 50 years old and never even heard of a new car's engine going out at 35k miles.

Im wondering why Hyundai doesnt do anything about the brake problems with the 07 Sonata. Ive had to replace the rear pads several times. Theyre binding in the slides and wont back off when u let off the pedal. Gone thru a few rotors too. If they arent gonna take care of the problems that alot of people are having with these cars then I wouldnt recommend anyone buying one. I used to think they were comparable to Toyotas but, the 05 Corolla I had was a much better quality car.

I have a 2011 sonata and I am experiencing an annoying steering pull on roads with minor shapes. I called the dealers and talked with a personel employee and was told that the product had this problem in all 2011 sonatas. I was also told by information forums that camber issues because of not being able to adjust them are part of the problems. Also strut, tires and electric steering issues are present in contributing to the situation. I looked on a consumer site and they said they were experiencing similiar issues and that to complain to sites that were related to technical support. Talk about passing the puck or what. I think people should file a class action suite against hyandai about this issue because when a person is not completley attentative when driving a car, the steering becomes a danger or hazardous issue, excuse my spelling. If an accident occurs under this situation of unsteady road steer interuption then hyundai should be held accountable and liable due to the recent complaints in all areas of information forums. I know for myself I am going to write a letter of concern and let them know that if an accident occurs due to uneven steering results that they will be sued for sure. In the meanwhile a class action suite should be filed from those who are very concerned for safety reasons. This here situation should have bee resolved way before the issue is at an out of control concern.

I have a 2005 Hyundai Tucson, finally have it paid off, it only has 60,000 miles on it, and I love it .... BUT I took it in for its 60,000 warranty check up, and now randomly while in Park, or in Drive my engine revs up. Recently I was driving my car, and all of a sudden my engine reved up, light came on and engine shut off, loss pressure to my breaks. Thankfully i dont freak out and was able to bring my car to a stop. Call Hyundai of Bellingham Wa (where i live), and they told me its not their problem. I never had any issues until I took my casr in, in August of this year. Now they want me to pay more money to see if they can find out whats wrong. I have been reading forrums on this model and year, and apparenlty this is happening to a lot of other people. Shouldn't there be a recall????? This coulds kill someone???? I am very upset that this a a re-occuring issue, with amny others, and Hyundai is refussing to address or fix the problem. I have boughten 3 Hyundai's because they are normally safe, never again. i am going to let the BBB know what Hyundai is doing about this issue.

i have Tucson 2012 and unfortunately this is my second time i got Hyundai car even though i had bad experience previously but i got distracted by the look and forgot about the service which is more important.

problems in the car are endless and every time i have to go for service with some problem. i regret having recommended Hyundai to my family and freinds.

I bought my 2012 Elantra on Feb 18, 2012 and just yesterday it was at the dealership because of an issue with fishtailing and bumpy ride. Was told the right rear strut was blown. This is my 7th Hyundai and I have never had any problems with the others. Yet I am reading more and more about users getting their struts replace and wondering if I can use the lemon law to take mine back and get a new one.

I bought a new 2012 Hyundai Elantra Limited in June,2011. It has had numerous problems. The one that no one seems to be able to fix for any length of time to date is the electronic steering. It was bad as I drove it out of the dealership and has been back approx a half dozen times since. Any one else got electronic steering, front end suspension and alignment problems--I have had enough and want to see how prevalent this steering (safety) issue is.

I wish I had read the comments before purchaseing a Hyundai car.I got a Hyundai Getz in 2008 which has a 5 year warrenty.
Unbeknown to me the model which I purchased had faulty shock absorbers ,the car had a persistent knocking ,a friend mentioned the same problems .I contacted the dealership who after questioning agreed there was a problem with the shock absorbers for the Getz,I was told Hyundai were working on a new fix for the shock absorbers and as soon as they had one I would be contacted.I was contacted and so say new shock absorbers were put on the car, unfortuneatly for me these shock absorbers did not work either, and now 4 years later I am still waiting for shock absorbers that do the job they ar suposed to do.Every service I have requires new shock absorbers but they do not last,my 5 year warrenty is up next year and even though they sold me a new car with faulty shock absorbers and there is no fix ,I will have to have them replaced at my cost every year. I would not buy another Hyundai, being tied into a 5 year warrenty includes very expensive yearly services,I feel a poor service,I have no trust in them and feel that after a service I want to have my car checked over by an independant body to make sure everything I paid for has been done and that the car is roadworthy.

I love my Sonata, but why is my paint already chipping off of my hood, I am disappointed in the paint job!

Terrific Car

My 2005 Sonata has been a trouble-free car from the get-go. I bought it new and was delighted then, and am delighted now.Hyundai works very hard to maintain top-notch customer service and their service dept goes out of their way to help their customers. As long as the customer does their part and takes their car in for regular oil changes where the service dept also checks over all the other aspects of the car, then the vehicle will not disappoint its owner.

I have a 06 Tucson, 51000, we have had it 1 year. The engine shut down whilst i was driving it. The steering and wheels locked. I was almost hit by a lorry. I have been told that it needs a new engine, both Richmond Hyundai and Hyundai are unwilling to do anything about it even though I have been complaining about noise and lack of performance from the day we bought it. Never again will I ever buy a Hyundai car. Apparently engine shut down is a common fault with the Tucson.

Bought one Sonata 2011 2.0 Turbo Limited. Bad front left strut and exhaust out of the showroom. dfemanded another car on condition it is inspected for these problems and the replacement does not have these problems. The replacement did! With over 60,000 cars manufactured in between. Service manager states that this is nationwaide with all Sonatas. They repaired the second one. Twice! I gave up and rathered to trade it in for a great quality, new Toyota Tundra. I have a feeling they fixed the replacement before delivery and didn't tell me about it also. Thus making it three times. However, I didnt want to go thru a year of Lemon Law arguments and hearings and statements and further repairs. Dump your Hyundai today!
