Worse than horrible
Okay I get that we can't be too picky about file sharing programs, given what they are...That said, it crashed and overloaded my computer with spyware and viruses despite repeat daily scans. Even worse it made it run so slow it took 10 minutes to open up Internet Explorer. Definitely not recommended.

Was pretty clunky.
Back in a day where copyright holders were not as protective of their properties, Limewire was still pretty bad software. I could rarely get any decent speed out of their service.

Miss this software!
I used LimeWire for many years, up until it was shut down in 2010 for copyright infringement. I used it in place of Kazaa, a different file-sharing app. The downloads were fast and I could always find what I needed on the application. I wish they didn't get shutdown!ElderNoden.... January 4th, 2012
