Metro PCS Vs. Verizon Cell phone service, which is better?

Personally I think Metro PCS is an excellent Cell phone company. Their rates are about the cheapest around for unlimited use. I always get great cell tower reception. Recently I went from Metro PCS to Verizon and I'm very disappointed in the switch due to- Verizon you have to have a contract, Metro PCS You don't, Verizon poor cell tower reception, Metro PCS Great reception, Metro PCS way cheaper$$$, granted Metro PCS doesn't have the same customer service as Verizon. But over all My personal opion would definitely be to go with Metro PCS! This is my second time with Verizon and truly I dispise them.

The company Metro PCS is worthless. If you bought a phone from them, just cut your loses! They will never do the right thing. All you will accomplish is giving yourself a headache! Do a little web surfing and you will find many apps to use for making calls for free with the phone you are now stuck with!

Thank You Metro PCS!

I have to say that the local people running the storefronts have been great. My comments in no way reflect on them. It is the corporation/management that suck. The people working the counters are not the problem. I bet the company treats them as poorly as it treats it's customers! I would like to thank this company for reminding me about being resourceful! I will never have to pay for cell service again! If they had even half decent customer service, I know I would not have started looking for apps to get around them. If you are not tied to the hip by your phone,you can save a ton of money by only using your phone were there is free WiFi. That is getting to be pretty much everywhere! No one probably looks at our comments and compares them to the rating we give. I am very happy with the smart phone I got from them. Especially because I don't pay anyone for cell phone service ant more! Do the research and you can do the same.

Good service for years then................

I used them for 4+ years and was ok with the service. Their coverage was not the best but I didnt travel alot. Then my phone broke and they sent me a replacement on on May 31. This phone would not pick up at my house and I didnt get coverage until about 15 miles down the road. I called everyday up to 5 times a day and could never recieve a straight answer. I went to every metro dealer in the area and it was ridiculous!!!!! I finally recieved a call back after I went to their facebook page and left a nasty review. The gentlemen then was nice and helpful but they have ruined me! I would not suggest ever using them!!!!!!

rude customer service personal.

Called Metro and i was treated like a criminal. the first person told me that my name was not the name on the account and she wouldn't help. the next person i spoke to confirmed my name was the name on the account. finally a manager reset my daughters phone for me. I called back 4 times to register a complaint about the first rude person that i spoke to and each time someone different hung up on me when i asked to speak to a manager. if you call just hang up and try again.

no customer service

Where is an email address for customer service. Who wants to stay on the phone for hours listening to a machine... and at the store it is even worse.
As soon as I have the time to do so, I switch. My family has been with PCS since the beginning but if something doesn't work, noone is here to help, just sale.

Do not recommend!

Would not do business with the store at 3016 University Drive in Huntsville, Al. ! The person who claims to be the manager in training would not be worth the time. I do not have one of these phones but have learned that this business has no corporate office phone number or physical address. THAT IN ITSELF SHOULD BE A GOOD TIP OFF of a shady business. To the gentleman who runs this store, I wish you thebest of luck because you are going to need it!

Why no discount for long time loyal customers

Hi I've been a long time loyal customers about 3 1/2 years to metro pcs.just this Sunday I had to go in there and purchase a new phone due to mine broke. Thay had phones on sale .but I was not a new customer starting a new line .I would not get a discount on phones. I feel that this is b.s. .. so I'm thinking that my self and my 4 other family members will switch over to straight talk are boost.

another problem I have I went to Worcester mass area for 3 days camping{actually Rutland mass I had no service at all for 3 days even when I went downtown to gt coffee at dunkin donuts . my bf has tmobile and he didn't have service either but it did work downtown

metro pcs is not personal enough

There is no good way to talk to someone when you have an issue . NHC no human contact. I am so sick of hearing a recorded voice hit 1 hit 2 etc. there customer service really is lousy you {most of the time} have to type a msg or send an email or talk to someone online there is no people to talk with I want personal service no wonder there are no jobs out there.

Metro PCS was much better before T_Mobile took over and I believe that T-MObile is sabotaging the company to ensure that we transfer to them. I had T-Mobile and their customer service and attitude is screw you. So now you understand why things are the way they are. I guess its time to go to Sprint. T Mobile and Metro are cut fromt the same cloth.

If your company advertise unlimited when you request for non-payment add ons then why do our payments keep going up a dollar or more, if your on a 40.00 dollar plan ?

Never Port my number to Metro!

Well, I ordered a new phone and when it arrived in the mail I transferred my old ATT number to it through Metro PCS. The day I did this my phone number was disconnected and has never worked again. All the way, anyway! Sometimes I can call out depending on the number and at other times I can message someone. They can even message me back now and again. IF I change my number I can actually maybe, possibly, get service but I will never have my number again. My number is easy to remember and no one would ever assume I would change it as I have had it for many years. So, I am sitting here thinking screw Metro, but they sure have great customer care! They are nice but they have no clue how to fix my phone.

Eh..

It is a nice cheap and affordable phone with normal features. But it did not stick out to me. I had a nice color and looks but I recondite you go the extra mile and buy a real phone if you dont have kids.

I bought a zte anthem 4g. It was a piece of crap!! I had to send it back with all the accessories the first day I got it. It would not download any music from my computer. Was extremely slow; back light was so dark you could hardly see it. Confusing. An ugly phone that does not live up to the capabilities advertised. I would never purchase another phone from metro pcs. You should be ashamed to sell junk like that! I spent $300 for inconvenience. Never again!!!!!

my mETRO PAYMENT SYSTEM

I paid my bill which the system accepted payment with a by the minute card instead of a metro connect card I have a plan mind you,. The bill went from 45 to five dollars So i threw the cards out and now unknown to me the payment was rejected and they burned me outright i talked to everyone and they are not helpful i am po to say the least........

A late fee for a prepaid phone!?!? Wtf! I'm done!!!

Today I went to pay my metro pcs bill. They told me I had to pay the full amount for only 20 days of service and extra for the full 30 days since I payed late. I don't get it if its prepaid how are you going to charge me a late fee? I should be able to pay when I want with no fee what so ever!! I'm switching to att. Metro has really gotten stupid!!

Cracked screen on my admire

I have a questions and a review, does anyone know if the phone is worth anything with a cracked screen even know it works perfectly fine. Are there places that will take damaged phones. I appreciate any feedback thank you very much.
My review of the phone is not so good. I know it's an inexpensive model, but it 200mb internal drive. I can even update all the built in applications cuz I'm running out of room. and to me that's a straight garbage, what's the point in having a smartphone if you can't keep it updated. But at least it has android 2.3.4 Better than froyo.

The rudest employee at Metro PCS

Two weeks ago I requested adding an international call service to my smart phone. I was told that it would add $10 to my regular $50 monthly payment. Four days later I received a message in my phone telling that I would receive a $70 bill. I went to the Metro PCS store at 7043 W Broward Blvd, Plantation, FL 33317. I asked the employee there and he said that my account showed a monthly bill of $60 and the message would be wrong. Today I received a message with a bill of $70. I went back to the store and it was a different employee. I told him what I was informed by the other employee and asked him to fix the problem with the bill. He said with attitude that he couldn�t do anything about it and I had to call the Customer Service. I asked him if he could do that call. He said rudely that he was not going to do it. I asked for the supervisor and he said he was the supervisor. I asked him the name of the employee who helped me the first time and he said he was fired. Then I asked him his name and he refused to give me his name because he thought that I was going to complain about him and was going to put his store in danger. I told him that if he was a supervisor he should give me his name. He started yelling at me, insulting and making fun of my Hispanic accent. Then he said that he was not going to talk to me anymore and went behind a panel. From there he continued yelling all kind of insults and every time that I tried to say something he sang very loud making fun of me. When I was leaving he called the police. I waited in my car until the police arrived. I talked to the police officers and one of them went inside the store and talked to him. The police officer gave a Metro PCS business card with a handwritten name; the police officer said that it was the employee�s name: Hatman. This horrible employee must be fired immediately. He is a young man, slim, African American, wearing glasses.

MetroPCS sucks horrible customer service

For over a week I argued, begged & pleaded at every level, 6 store reps, 6 online reps. In my opinion all of them incompetent and many rude. Autopay account deleted and recreate at least 4 times. Everyone keeps saying the same thing just go in and update to account info. The account was even verified by a Corporate Center supervisor. Phone service has been shut off twice. Even after the store manager at the corporate Center assured me that it ad been restored.

Poor Customer Service

On several occasions I have tried to contact Metro PCS customer service without success, when you finally reach their customer service, no one is able to satisfy your questions asked or transfer you all over the globe and still your questions not been answered. Their in-house customer service is just as bad; Even though we're in a deregulation market, Metro PCS is benefiting from the current economy crisis because of their prices. There service SUCKS.

Their technical support staff are idiots and liars. 5 seperate representatives tried to tell me that 1x is THE SAME as 3g. I am paying for 3g service but I am not getting it.

Metro is absolutely horrible

Their customer service in their stores is deplorable and they hire uneducated, unethical individuals that may tell you that there is a fee for things that really don't have a fee. Then they pocket the money. This was told to me by someone who works for one of their offices in central Florida. So before you pay a fee, ask a lot of questions.

Metro PCS Technical Support Sucks

My email wasn't working, so I look for the support phone number and it is no where to be found except via a third party website. The website gives you no option for technical support for internet or email, only activation support. So you have to request activation support, but they then try to steer you to their website, so you have to say "retry". I finally get someone who hangs up. I call again and the next guy can't help me and refers me to someone else. This next person can't help me either, so someone else will have to work on it. This next person is not available now and it could take up to 72 business hours.

Even whe I was getting email on my phone, I sometimes would not receive them until a day later!

Shoddy Customer Service

My grandson's phone battery is defective and Metro PCS staff in the store was rude. The manager claimed that Metro PCS acts as a "middle man" and is not responsible for defective batteries. We have to mail the battery to Texas which means my grandson is paying for service without getting service. All other companies, including Fry's, Best Buy, Target, etc. would replace a phone if the battery was defective, especially when the battery was still in warranty. After having trouble for a week, we finally brought it to a store when the phone was exactly 32 days old. Again, shoddy, shoddy service and we would not recommend using Metro PCS.

Hastle Hastle Unbelievable Hastle

Non Existant customer service. Ive tried for two hours today to find out why they are charging me twice for my new android whice was to be 50.00 a month. Every single number I was given is no longer in service or at 611 they ask if I want to call metro. I answer yes and get a recording asking if I wish to pay my bill. This is four times this has happened this month. Now watch. On the tenth they will turn my phone off for non payment. Im discusted. Now they can accept my payment of 90.00 easily why cant they tell me why I should pay 90.00 for what they told me was 50.00.

Best experience with Metro PCS ever!

I bought a new Android LG Optimistic cell phone at Metro PCS about a month ago. The store I felt with is on Wayne rd off of Glenwood in Westland MI. Customer service was friendly, patient and extreamly helpful answering every single question I had. This is the 4th Metro PCS cell phone I have owned in 8 years. This Android LG Optimistic phone is the absolute power packed phone with hundreds of totally free downloads from games to videos and you name it. I can't find one single thing wrong with this phone or service. The video and camera is crystal clear and the hands free and speaker phone is compleatly wonderful and very clear to understand. Love that you can hit the microphone icon when sending a SMS verses typing and it never makes any mistakes and is right on target. When I wear out this phone? I will without a doubt buy this exact same phone. I'm very happy and could not ask for anything more from my service or phone.

Metro PCS sucks, you get what you pay for, their customer service stinks, the corporate store and employees in van nuys panorama city area is the worse of any bussiness i have ever dealt with, stay away from metro or you will regreat that you had bussiness with them.
