Worth the money!

I really enjoy Netflix. They have a huge selection of shows and movies. There is something for the whole family. You can use it on several devices and you can have separate accounts for each member of the family. I recommend anyone who likes watching TV to try this.

I have noticed significant reduction in DVD service over the past several months. I get about one disc per week now, and I know the mail is not that slow. I have had some discs on order for over 18 months with still "unknown" delivery status. If you have no intention of filling the order, why even list the discs in the first place. My experience has ben very positive until recently, and I am getting the feeling that Netflix is getting out of the DVD business and going to streaming only.

New netflix layout is just horrible, plays movies without pressing play is so annoying. Customer service says thats the way it is now and works fine. No interest in making a complaint for me just dismissing my complaint as not a valid problem. Just stupid idiots screwing around with a perfectly working layout to this mess and don't seem to care paying customers DO NOT LIKE THE NEW NETFLIX. Shame on you netflix

I'm very unhappy with Netflix. What does "new arrivals" mean - one every month? They list "new arrivals" as one new documentary plus an endless list of "old" movies, not new arrivals. The movies offerred are not trendy, not in the least current, not even well known or known at all. O.K. We'll go just a little while longer and then goodbye Netflix if no improvement. I go in to the site for entertainment, not to spend forever looking for a decent movie to watch. (Another site for $4.00 has movies such as The Butler, 12 Years a Slave, Fury, Malificient and on and on and on.)

My advice to everyone is switch to epix they have enjoyable fresh movies not low budget ones like netflix that nobody wants to watch. They add hispanic movies a lot more than anything else, and those are crummy too! (Netflix does that,,NOT Epix) I like Sci-Fi, tell me when they have added any fresh ones, you cant,,I've been waiting for months! Customer service is a joke. Im so happy to have cancelled my Netflix! There's many better streaming services than this one, Amazon is one, Mgo is another. Try Vudo, but for gosh sake, Please don't waste your money on Netflix! They need to add fresh new movies for Each Genre more often, or go out like Blockbuster, you better believe I'm letting everyone on social networks know about this warning also!

Netflix is good when you want to watch shows that you may have missed seasons on,or movies that came out a year or two ago but it doesn't give you all the latest movies.Some of the episodes after watching them all for a while netflix will have to rebuff itself all in all not bad considering the high price of cable television.Hulu is also decent not the best,but then again the prices of satellite and cable television is outrages.

Why are so many DVDs unplayable? In the past few months, I've had 4 or 5 DVDs that started but somewhere after that, they just stopped. Some I could skip over the bad spot but some just stalled. In all cases, I tried to clean the DVD as instructed on the web site. As a customer for many years, I'm getting tired of this type of problem. #fail

Netflix really saves me shelf space when it comes to me watching movies. For a relatively small price, I get to delve into their vast amount of films without them taking up space in my house.

I am looking now at alternatives to Netflix and here is why. Just ABOUT everytime I go to view a movie, it's NEVER in INSTANT. The mail is getting slower as well and your right on the Movie Releases, we can always catch those WAY BEFORE they hit netflix...yeah...a dinosaur about to go extinct if they don't change. Duck, You Sucker..old James Coburn movie not available in INSTANT...come on.....

It is a shame that such a clever idea with a reasonable price tag such as Netflix turned into yet another greedy millionaire. I can respect a wee increase in prices so long as the customer is getting top quality for top dollar. Since the price of the Netflix service has skyrocketed, the service has become inferior, example tonight, yet again, the streaming service is unavailable (this is an all too common occurance). The choice of movies to stream is, at best, C movies and TV movies that I pay cable for and can watch on TV.
I look forward to the day that greedy sods such as the owner of Netflix are humbled.

after at least 6 interuptions for download I finally finished this movie, I think it would be a better movie without the constant download interuptions, and more choices of movies, I saw very limited choices on the screen, seems like loading dvd's is better. I for one will probably drop my subscription as the free time runs out!

I have used Netflix for years. Their film choice for streaming is pitiful, many of their new arrivals are really old movies from the 80's or new one to two star movies that nobody want to watch. Maybe if you rent the movie you have better choices but for streaming the selection is frustrating. Thinking of going to Hulu.

Why are most of the newer movies not available for streaming. I wanted to see the movie Precious which is almost 4 years old and was told it is unavailable. You should be able to see the newer movies as soon as their released to video. It disapoints me that most of the "new releases" are not new at all. How about some "real new release" and "well known releases on streaming. I want to see past box office hits and Oscar award movies, not so much the straight to video one. You do have some good documentaries.

For the second time, "America's Funniest Videos" - streaming - is schedule to be gone on Feb. 1.

WHY??!! It's one thing that I can always share with my grandkids; even shows listed as "General Audience" often have unacceptable language or other issues. I can't believe there aren't enough people that want to watch it.

Also - why not have everything available for streaming? I heard your company was moving toward that to save money, but you seem to be headed the other way now. Titles that were available for streaming are now only available by DVD.

getting worse

when I try to stream other channels like amazon prime or vudu I have no problem. When I try to stream netflix it streams at an unwatchable rate and stops too often. And I have very high speed internet...12 to 17 mbps average.

Also, they used to have ironman 2 and captain america and those titles have disappeared. I've read that they are forgoing movies in favor of TV shows. In that respect I'm going to drop Netflix and stick with Amazon Prime. Its a much better deal plus you can rent at a low cost or buy online just about anything if it's not already for free with Prime.

Easy as pie to use, cheap movies abound.

Netflix's online downloading allows for picking from a vast collection of movies, all at great prices. I never have to go fishing for DVD's at stores ever again!

Great on PS3!

I am a SAHM, so I have to keep myself occupied during the day and I watch a TON of Netflix! They have a mix of good and crappy movies, but I can always find something interesting on there. My favorite are old TV shows that I grew up watching (Dinosaurs, Wonder Years, etc.). It is worth the small amount that we pay every month for sure! Recommended!

Netflix is OK

I enjoy my netflix account because it has been offering online movie streaming at some resonable prices and for $7.99 a month, you'll get unlimited access to the Netflix library of films and TV programmes.

What more could you wish for at this prices!

I have never been more disappointed in anything in my life then I am with netflix. I can only hope someone will read this and maybe realize what a mistake it is before making it. A very Small "good" movie selection. Mobile app is.also prettyhorrible as well. Sum it up with a you suck and I give you a 2 out of 1 billion.

i enjoy my Netflix account. i used to have the streaming and dvd rental but after the price changes dropped it to just streaming.i went with low expectations so haven't been to upset with the selection. i do however get tired of things being taken off the streaming list. it gets annoying trying to go back and re-watch something then it's gone.

I am very disappointed in your Hindi movie DVDs. Not a single one that I have watched for few months was in good condition. While u charge full money it is our waste of time to get the DVD, sit down to watch with scratchy sound or very poor inaudible sound. You should be ashamed of wasting customers time to send the defective DVDs without checking them.
if no action is taken, I will have to cancel my subscription from Netflix.

Every time a movie gets up to the number one position it goes into some kind of wait, short log or extremely long, even though right before it was to be selected to ship it was available. I have been using Netflix since 2000 and it started off as an amazing company, now I hate them

What has happened to the new releases for TV? It used to be listed every Sunday. Now, if any TV shows are being released British or American, you have to get from another site and put on your saved section. They have just eliminated it totally. Why does Netflix make it hard to find new DVD releases every week. Their answer is that it is on their home page. However, there is only an incomplete list

I'm trying Netflix's direct streaming for month. Netflix doesn't appear to be ready to provide the service. This one should have been thought through more. If you can't do it right then don't do it at all. I've never seen such a weak selection of films.

I've had netflix about 24 hours now and its been unable to watch as much as it has. Don't understand how i can watch one show then i can't even connect for another. I tried this about a year ago and gave it up,.and think I'll quit it again tomorrow. too much crap to even fart with,unless you can figure out what the problem is. I enjoy my netflix account. I have never had a negative experience. I am glad it is available on my mobile. It is worth the $8 because if I didnt have it I would spend much more on redbox for stuff my son watches like power rangers. I save a lot of money by not having cable. I have netflix and amazon prime.

Netflix charge double

Netflix has been charging my card 2 times a month for the same service. When I talked to a supervisor about the problem they would only refund one month. This double billing has been going on for a year. They suggested I talk to my bank as that was all they could do.

What's the alternative?

Netflix leaves a lot to be desired. They charge a lot, and most of the instant watches are terrible, or before 1995. Granted, they actually have very little say in what movies/shows are available, but if that's the case they should charge less. Also, this is a minor complaint, but it never shows my vote towards reviews a "not helpful." It only accepts helpful. Regardless, Netflix is immensely better than Blockbuster or red box.

On line movies not worth close to $8.00 fee.
Not watchable! Movies "stop" every 2 minutes and you have to physically "move" the Timing ball at the top of screen in order to re start. Far too much nonsense. Great idea but Netflix should have got the technical bugs out before charging for a service that doesn't work (at least for me).

The only way to reach NetFlix is via telephone. There is no way to write to them with complaints. My complaint to them is, I have been a customer of theirs for several years before they split into two separate types of service. I am now only streaming. Before the split, I had specific selections in my queue which I revisited often as they were my favorites. Since the split, they removed those selections and now those are only available on DVD. I am LIVID about this! I am also exceedingly disappointed that there are virtually NO "new releases" anymore in streaming! What they release are 20-year old films and perhaps one or two per month! It's ridiculous! I do NOT want to call some poor CS person and yell at them as it's not their fault, they're just working their 10 hours, and I'm stupified that in this day and age there is no way to email in my complaint. Much like the neutered dog, I just don't get it! ARGHHHH! I want the streaming selections that I've been paying for, for YEARS BACK!

Service worth paying for

What with the absurd amount of free movies available for download on the internet, it takes quite a bit of service to convince customers to pay to watch the material. However, Netflix offers customer service that makes one willing to cough up some cash, surprisingly enough.

I have been a member of NETFLIX for 3 years. When they started to take off and go into other countries they doubled my fees. When I called them I asked if they could keep my fees lower or grandfather my original fees. They said sorry and asked if I wanted to quit. I quit. Then I heard on the news that 900,000 other members quit also!!! stick together and fight for what you believe in. 1 movie rental used to cost $ 9.99 monthly. Now they want $18.00. JUST SAY NO

It's sad that Netflix and Redbox have put Block Buster out of business only to raise their prices and not offer the new movie releases on time like Block Buster did. To get a new release movie anymore you have to pay the cable company or Satelite guys an outrageous price. Again...this country is going down the tubes because of corporate greed!

Netflix doesn't think twice about screwing over its customers.

Less than two months after I joined the Netflix service, they upped my prices by 60%. I joined because it was a cost effective way to watch a few movies when I could. I am a low ranking soldier in the US Army, so I don't have a whole lot of money to throw around. Upping a bill by 60% on a whim is just one more price hike in a recession full of them (however, most are only a few percent), and a slap in the face to someone who has signed a contract binding me to a relatively low salary for a time. I don't regret my decision... I would raise my hand again in a second, but the recession is definitely felt, especially when companies like Netflix go nuts.

I recently closed my account because you decided to split up my 9.99 charge into two charges totaling 15.98. Why would you think I would accept these terms? i got my password reset with no problems, and as soon as I add the netflix gadget to gmail again, now it tells me I have to download some software for it to work. I have already had the gadget installed 4 times with no issues other than my password, why do I need to install software NOW? and if I try to install, I get a 404 error!!! my god, folks, get your shxx together! Im ready to dump netflix even though Ive had it on and off for years.

Good selection, easy to use.

I have been very happy with our Netflix service so far. We have been members for about six months, and I have been happy with both the selection and ease of the website. We have had a great time re-watching older shows as well as catching up on more recent shows. I have noticed people mention the website slows every once in awhile but it doesn't really affect our experiences and we have greatly enjoyed it. As long as you have the right internet speed for it Netflix can be a great experience for you.

I don't like the fact that my kids can access certain movies on the wii. I am afraid one day they will accidentally click on a scary movie or pornography. I understand that it IS possible to block certain movies, but if you use the parental block, then ALL the unrated movies get deleted. I like documentaries and shows like Bizarre Foods. I don't want those deleted, just the horror and porn. I wish somebody from netflix would think about making it possible to block certain genres of movies.

I think the changes that Netflix is considering making would be a big mistake. I and all my friends and acquaintences like Netflix because we can rent movies for $10 a month and not have to drive anywhere but just walk to the mailbox. This is important in places like MN in the winter! Yes, it would be nice to get more new releases a little sooner and have some HBO movies, but to consider social stuff and some duet with Facebook is a mistake. Sometimes, it pays to leave well enough alone.

The DVD that we are returning (The King's Speech) is completely unplayable and apparently a very poor copy. We very carefully cleaned it 4 times with no improvement. We also validated our player operation with several other DVD's.
This is the 2nd occurrence. Either send us a better copy of The King's Speech or terminate our membership.

Every movie we try to watch is interrupted several times "rebuffering". It takes about 10 minutes each time and ruins the whole experience.

The Next Three Days DVD we ateched last night is flawed. We took it out and washed it with soap and water 3 separate times and still it kept 'skipping'. We suffered through until the end because it was such a good movie and we had to see what happened. We didn't want to wait for an 'immediate' replacement.

well i call netflix because even though i'm conected to the internet the screen says netflix is temporarely unavailable, and they tell me to call samsung, so i call samsung and they say it's a problem with netflix. what gives??????? if this is the best they can do they need to go out of business.

My streaming suddenly stopped and after an hour of trying to diagnose the problem myself, I went to Netflix.com. Again, it took quite a while to get to correct page, only to be told that "streaming was unavailable due to an 'account problem'" and I was instructed to call Customer Service. Since my account was paid up to date I decided to call Netflix. I was given a code online with a message stating that the hold time would be 9 minutes. That didn't make me happy but if that is what it took to find out what was going on..... However, when I called, I got an automated message saying that they "were experiencing higher than normal call volume" and to try my call later. WHAT? I tried calling several times, to no avail. I still have no service and no idea as to what is going on. Totally unacceptable
