My 2nd Buick Century and will buy a 3rd
This is my 2nd Buick. I used to think that only old people drove them. Not flashy enough for me. But then I joined that "Check Out Generation," and saw the light.I drove my first Century Custom back in 2000 (a 1999 model Rental Car) and soon learned that those old folks knew what they were doing. GM made a good and reliable car.
In 2003 I bought a 1999 Century Custom with 63K miles on it and drove it damn near to the 250K mark. It was running good when I sold it. Then I replaced it 2011 with a 2003 Century that had 24K miles. Got it from a young man who took the keys away from his 84 year old Dad as a public service. The price was great, and 25K miles later at 45K miles, its running strong and a heck of a lot more reliable, and far more comfortable than my wife's "hard on your butt," Volvo S-80. The S-80 stays home when we take long trips.
Now I'm not saying that Buicks are perfect - I'm just saying that if you keep them regularly serviced and clean, these babies will not let you down. Its a well built car.
I will be dumping the S-80 soon and the wife will get a late model Buick to replace it - or she can buy her own car with her own money.
