What a great company!
Capital One is one of the best credit card companies I have dealt with. Their spending limits are quite reasonable, and their customer service staff always sort out my problems in a friendly manner.

Cap1 never failed to impress me. The credit card that they are offering has a lot of benefits that I can really enjoy since I'm travelling overseas most of the time. They don't charge foreign trans fee unlike other banks which is really helpful. They also have this kind of benefit that would protect me from any unauthorized charges. Kudos to Capital One!

Just realized the charge of not paying off bal. each month....another RIP off ...get charged for having a Bal..even though I pay 3/4 times the Min. payment..THANKS CAP ONE...once this is paid it WILL BE CANCEL'd.
Everyone..anyone seeing this do them--get a card somewhere else that does not RIP you off if you need plastic..

CUSTOMER ALERTS
I AM WRITING TO REPORT A MISREPRESENTATION OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ALERTS FROM CAPITAL ONE. RECENTLY I SET UP MY ACCOUNT TO BE ALERTED OF LOW BALANCES AND DEPOSITS MADE. PLEASE NOTE THAT CHASE AND BANK OF AMERICA ALSO OFFER THE SAME SERVICE. SO THIS IS A TRUE COMPARISON OF "APPLES TO APPLES."I RECEIVED AN ALERT, VIA EMAIL,THAT MY ACCOUNT WAS OVERDRAWN BY ELEVEN DOLLARS AND CHANGE ON MAY 4TH. THE TRANSACTIONS OCCURRED ON MAY 3RD.
CAPITAL ONE CHOOSES NOT TO ALERT ME ON THE SAME DAY SO THEY MAY REAP THE BENEFIT OF CHARGING THE NSF SERVICE FEE. THIS DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO RESPOND IN ORDER TO AVOID NSF CHARGES.
CHASE AND BANK OF AMERICA NOTIFY ME/YOU IMMEDIATELY VIA EMAIL AND TEXT, IF YOUR ACCOUNT IS OVERDRAWN, SO YOU MAKE A DEPOSIT AND AVOID SUCH FEES.
ANOTHER FLAW WITH CAPITAL ONE IS:
IF YOU MAKE A DIRECT CASH DEPOSIT IN CAPITAL ONES ATM MACH DURING THE REGULAR BANKING HOURS, BEFORE 3:00 P.M., THAT CASH IS NOT AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY UNLESS YOU TAKE IT DIRECTLY TO A TELLER. NOT THE CASE WITH CHASE AND BANK OF AMERICA.
I WILL BE CLOSING MY ACCOUNT WITH CAPITAL ONE. TO BAD THEIR SERVICE IS NO WHERE NEAR AS GOOD AS THEIR ADVERTISEMENTS. A CLEAR CASE OF MISREPRESENTATION. IT IS LIKE DOING BUSINESS WITH "PEGGY!"

Capital One Bank needs an overhaul
The only reason I stay with this bank is that it near my home. I banked with Chevy Chase Bank for many years and never had a problem. This bank is the pits. They can't seem to get many things straight. It's pure hell dealing with them. The customer service leaves much to be desired. All and all I am very displeased.

Good, Easy Banking

I agree about the poor service. They told me they wouldn't raise my credit limit because my debt to income ratio was too high. Sent me on a goose chase to the credit bureaus which I knew was incorrect anyway. 750 score and ZERO debt. Day lost trying to get thru to bureaus since I live in Mexico and have no US Zip code or state. Now another day trying to get to credit analyst at C1 to find out why they lied about my credit and sent me on the time wasting wild goose chase. Has anyone found a number to break their phone center armor?
I like the mileage on the card but I get 4% on 3mo. CD's here so I think I'll close my account with them.
