No Customer Service with Lost Card
I asked for new card to be overnighted and they said that service is not available. I would have to go to branch and get a temporary card. I needed it to travel and it has ruined my plans.When I asked to complain they have me. P.O. Box to write to. No email and no one to personally talk to.
After 30 years, I will be leaving this Bank.

Scam level fees
I just paid a contractor to do some work at my home. I paid the contractor with a check from my Wells Fargo account that defaulted from a Wachovia account I have had for over thirty years. The contractor reported to me that the check had been stolen from their vehicle. I contacted Wells Fargo (hard to do, particularly to talk with a person) to stop payment on this check. Their fee for stopping payment on a check (which should be free) was $31.00. In this age of high technology this is a ridiculous fee. It is pretty clear that Wells Fargo is a company that is going to stick it to their customers at every opportunity. Apparently honesty in their business practice doesn't exist!!

Hate the bank fees!
I originally had an account with Wachovia and stuck with the bank when it merged. I did not have a problem until I started getting bank fees! I got my husband a "joint" account added to my account (basically an "add your money to mine but only I have access" idea - didn't and still doesn't make sense as to how it is "joint") and I started getting charged $10 a month for his account and $5 a month for mine! I am using the bank that does not charge me fees from now on.

too many fees
no way can i save money in a bank like this. its always something. While I would be appealed to this bank for its services, it just does not fit into my life. I opened an account just to try and was inundated with fees so I cancelled after a month. Thankfully they had the ethics to return me what they took in fees so I did not leave them with such bad taste. My job did bank there however and they are usually professional and helpful. And easier to deal with for commercial needs. Bank of America makes me fill out a form everytime I need change.

Wachovia Who?
Wachovia merged, or was bought out by Wells Fargo, which meant many people would have, or could have been out of jobs. Wells Fargo stepped up and offered each prior Wachovia employee a chance to keep their job. They, from what I could tell had a very nice transition, as they started in upper states and worked their way from branch to branch untill all Wachovia accounts were changed to Wells Fargo. The staff at previous Wachovia branches are amoung the nicest and most helpful people I've encountered. Not sure how Wells Fargo measured up before, but now, they are fantastic.

Stranded in Barcelona
My Wells Fargo Visa was stolen in Barcelona. When I called the lost card number on the back of a friend's card, the message was that the department was closed for the weekend. Called Visa direct to cancel the card, which they did. However, my request for emergency cash was never responded to. Apparently Wells Fargo didn't give Visa the right information and refused to let them call me back. Speaking to Wells Fargo's customer service folks was a disaster -- 4 different stories about what happened, and from supervisors! Don't use Wells Fargo Visa overseas -- you'll get no support, only hassles. AMEX came through fabulously.

I want Wachovia, not wells fargo!
I hate that Well's Fargo has purchased the Wachovia branches. I went in for a loan, the next thing i know i have TWO hits on my credit score. ONE from the bank, and ONE from the credit card department. I am now moving all my accounts from them!Anonymous-25963.... April 3rd, 2011
I went in to Wells Fargo Fairbanks to seek a refinance on my mortgage. One of the mortgage "analysts" said he would have to run a credit check to see if I would qualify. He said he would get back to me. Next thing I know I get a Wells Fargo credit card in the mail. I will never deal with those bozo's again.

Wachovia customer coming into Wells Fargo land. Just did my first Quicken upload - what a mess! others have already commented on it, so I'll leave it at that, but clearly Wells Fargo is not interested in on-line banking. Time to find a new bank.

I am surprised nations largest Wells Fargo Customer Service sucks. I would rate them zero of 10 for followup. My initial talk was good. The next day I called up and dropped voice mail to state that I was interested to persue with their home financing... 2 weeks are up and no sign of call back or email.
duh!!!!!
