new owner of a pre-owned 96 eldo

i stumbled upon a few 96 eldo's for sale when i was searching for a different car within my cash budget; i test drove one at a car lot (i had narrowed down the search to a black one 96-99; they couldnt even get it started; after a month of determination i found one on craig's list from a mechanic but had to drive about an hour away to get it; it's a beauty with about 140K miles (lowest i could find for my budget); it's power and luxury everything, super sharp and slightly careworn; i have done a lot of tweaking and studying and researching to take very good care of it; a learning process as i have never owned a luxury vehicle; front and back emblems fell off which i replaced (found rear emblem on ebay for $15) with 2-way epoxy, had oil changed at sears, bought a 5 gallon jug of synthetic oil to be thrifty at autozone; bought a tiny canister of matching paint to cover minor spots; used a 2 step system i found at autozone (turtle wax rubbing and polishing compounds) to completely and easily eradicate large spot of oxidation very succesfully; ps: do not use any kind of laundry soap on the car it leaves a hideous film and you have to rewash!, the car cleans up beautifully and i baby it constantly and also bought a car cover for $30 now that it's winter (be sure to poke hole for antenna and re-inforce hole with duct tape)i love the deluxe 12 cd changer its so luxurious and enjoyable to drive; it's a real head-turner and i get treated better when people see what i drive (insane but true); i just found a trunk latch replacement at a junk yard for $35 and plan to install myself after a $300 estimate from garage; also the blower motor is out so heat not blowing but i know where to find one for about $165 it is easy to replace under dash inside the car; the power seats are awesome and also both front seats are heated; i might have to spend a little extra for maintenance until i completely get to know the car (or i get sick of it) but it is worth it because i love it so much.i was also able to get key copies made for the normal price; not the mention the fact that if you go to a cadillac dealership they really roll out the red carpet for you as a cadillac owner. there was like all kinds of gourmet coffee and offers to go get lunch for me, etc, in the deluxe waiting area ; i couldn't believe it!
