Better when new

I purchased a brand new 2008 Mazda3i in 2008 and I loved it! The sound system was great for stock, the gas mileage was much better than I expected, and it was a great looking car. I loved driving around in it! Unfortunately, it didn't take long for things to fall apart. First, it was the auto-locks. I have to check to make sure the doors are locked before I leave my car (I ALWAYS have to re-lock the passenger side door). For a car that is was barely 3 years old, I was very disappointed when this happened. What is the point of having a remote when the doors won't lock? If I leave the lights on for 5 minutes on accident, the car completely dies. One time it wouldn't even let me put it in neutral to move it out of the parking spot so that I could get jumped! My husband describes the car's battery as a "matchbox battery" because it is tiny and fails often. The windshield wipers have become faulty (one of them has rusted over so bad that it doesn't even move anymore!). That said, the wipers even on the "fast" setting still make it dangerous to drive in torrential rain (a problem I did not have in my Accord). When I bought the car, I thought it would hold up well (older models were sold for about the same price as a brand new model, so I believed it was because they were better cars than they turned out to be). I still love my car and it drives great, but I can't wait until I can afford a new vehicle!
