I love my Mercury Mariner, but Emission monitors not ready after 1,200 miles

My 2006 Mercury Mariner 2.3L 4-cyl is in perfect conditions. It has no error codes. It runs great. I put a new 28K-mile engine, a new battery, a new oxygen sensor, etc. I love my car. I took it for inspection and everything is right , except four of the emission sensors. Every mechanic I take it to tells me to drive it a little more.But, I have driven it for over 1,400 miles already. Well, someone has a detailed step-by-step drive cycle instruction, which I am going to do tomorrow. Any ideas on why it is taking so long to be ready?
