Projector PD726W is not stable

I used the projector for only 299 hours but the lamp keeps overheating and shutting down. This happens almost every time. I tried to use a computer fan to blow air in the opening at the bottom of the projector but it does not make any difference. Color and intensity are good when it is on. I am not happy with it and am thinking to buy another brand.
