An inadequate machine

We recently replaced a 20 year old Kitchen-Aid dishwasher with an ASKO D5122, because the price of a new Kitchen-Aid was about 1.5 times as much. We should have shelled out for the Kitchen-aid. The asko is a pain; it gets clogged, and there's water in the pan after a cycle, and there's no obvious blockage. This never happened with the Kitchen-Aid
