Don't buy it, there's a design flaw.
Piece of junk.Aesthetically, the design is nice. The size is good. And...
the shredding unit works smoothly on up to 4 sheets (works a little harder with 5 or 6). That's not the problem. The problem is the shredding unit is heavy. When you lift it to take out your shreddings, it breaks.
Why?
Because the corner screws that hold the heavy base of the shredding unit to the shredder "cap" screw into a tiny piece of plastic inside the housing that's about 1/8" thick. It can't support the weight.
They designed it wrong. Mine broke, three of the post supports, the first time I used it. When I lifted off the top to remove the shreddings, the shredder housing separated from the cap and the mechanical parts spilled all over the floor. No way to put it back together because I couldn't tell which part went where (and I'm a repair tech, I'm good with machines) and even if I had reassembled the internal parts, there's no way to get the housing screwed together again, because the plastic post-tops are broken so the bolts have nothing to hold them.
It's a safety hazard. If it's still plugged in when the housing breaks (and it will eventually), there are sharp blades in there along with electrical parts that become exposed when it falls.
Don't buy this one.
