An interesting yet antiquated speaker
I've owned this speaker for quite sometime (since aprox 2001). I purchased this speaker for a secondary surround system along with a pair of Bose 301 series IV as front speakers and 201 series IV as rear surrounds. I believe the original surround receiver was a Harmon/Kardon AVR 65. The overall system was adequate for its day (2001-2004). The VCS-10 sounds terrific when matched with other Bose speakers of a similar vintage ~ Otherwise it's quite a chore to find a balance of both frequency and volume with theVCS-10. The best sound-staging was actually the 201's as the front speakers and the VCS-10 in the center.
