I purchased a Cuisinart Classic 12 cup Programmable Coffeemaker DCC-1100 Series on March 12, 2011, and on May 12, 2013...it started making a horrible noise..overheated and quit working../this is the 3rd Cuisiart Coffeemaker I have owned. I do not understand why they do not last more than 2 years...I clean them regularly and even unplug them when not in use over an extended period of time. For paying almost $70 for an appliance I would expect a little longer performance.
