Cuisinart DGB-650BC Reviews
We're on our 4th Cuisinart DGB-650 Grind and Brew coffee maker in 8 years. Truly enjoy the coffee and convenience but the bad part is that the first 3 leaked after some use. I'm a guy who likes to fix things so I took #3 apart to find and fix the problem. The heating element had split, a super easy repair so I called Cuisinart to order a replacement. I was delighted to find that the unit was under warranty, something I had not checked. I went through the protocol to get the replacement unit and discovered that I had voided the warranty by taking it apart to fix it. I was puzzled by this but they would not budge on this issue. So I went on to order a replacement heating element. "We don't offer those for sale" was their reply. "How do you make this product without the heating element?" I asked. "We do not offer that part" was again their answer. So here I am with a fixable coffee maker that cannot be fixed. Funny that when an issue with our stove occurred, Viking was spot on with their service. Same for our Sub-Zero. I guess we will eliminate Cuisinart from our vendor list when the 4th coffee maker fails. And it will. I'm on my 4th Toyota right now and there will be a 5th. Customers return to quality products and service time after time. Cuisinart has a lot to learn.
