Dynex DX-keypad2 has problems

The USB connection has its cord on the side which means it cannot be plugged in beside other USB plugs. This seems an altogether unnecessary inconvenience.
Furthermore, when I unplugged other stuff to plug the keypad into my laptop, my main keyboard stopped working. Altogether an unpleasant experience. I'll be taking it back!
