New Epson Stylus Pro banding and no solution from Epson

I've found tones of complaints online about banding problems with the Epson Stylus Pro 7900. I've had my SP 7900 for less than 2 weeks and since the first day and print, I have been having horizontal dark banding lines coming out on my prints. So far, I've only used the Epson paper that came with the printer with its own profile, so I guess this would not be a paper adjustment problem (?). It seems, because of the dark lines, the head passes are overlapping. I am not being able to solve this problem and Epson is not solving it either. Now, if there are so many people complaining about the same issues, how come all Epson reviews for the 900 series printers are so good? It was because of these reviews that I bought the printer and now I truly regret it, especially seeing how Epson deals with its customers.
