Frigidaire GLEQ2152EE Reviews
It's ok when it's working
This dryer has given us trouble on several occasions with error codes, which is what brought me to this site today (the 3rd problem). The first time was a stuck key error code from which we found a slightly depressed button and freed it. The second time was a "DR" error code, which is another common failure; the dryer would only run at short intervals, so I had to babysit it and constantly restart it. Better than the laundromat though. That error can be repaired by adding a resistor (?) to the control board. Found the answer online, and was able to get my dad to perform the repair for me. If you know someone who is good with electronics, this is no big deal, as the panel was pretty easy to access and remove, then put back. Not that any of this was much fun though. Now I've got the stuck key error again, but no stuck key, and some weird error where one button isn't performing it's function, and another button says "LOC" when you push it. This is supposed to mean the control panel is locked, but all of the other buttons are NOT locked. Might have to get a new control board now.Outside of all of this, this has a "dampness" sensor which is supposed to prevent overdrying/shrinkage of clothing in the dryer. While I love the idea of this, it tends to mean that the dryer stops before your clothes are actually dry, so that you have to re-start the dryer usually at least once, maybe twice before your stuff is actually dry.
