Garmin chart sounder 530s

Boy how can Garmin make things so simple on the highway and so complicated on the water. The keys are "menu" which usually means "go back" the Home button takes you to the begining of your menu where you get to start all over. The display can be split between map and sounder which is the most convenient. Temp,speed, depth can be displayed all at once if you can figure it out. The new vision chart haa great detail but zooming in and out can lose the detail you need. The safe course lines appear at times but cannot be depended upon being there. Trying to figure out where to go to change or select an option is a nightmare. The logic on these software engineers was never derived from being on the water in a chop.
