Garmin software is of poor quality. I wonder if Garmin actually tests any of their software before turning it over to their customers. Garmin Express fails about 75% of the time and the Garmin software on their website hangs up more times than it is successful.

Not a fan of Tom Tom, having experienced frustration with a GPS of theirs for a couple of years. The touch screen was buggy, switching between non-responsive (would not receive input) and overly responsive (by which I mean it would mysteriously enter input that was not tapped on the screen). Battery stopped holding a charge afer a few months. Recently switched to a new Garmin and am so far quite happy. Tom Tom needed new map because original was often wrong - which can be a big inconvenience or worse when you are depending on it. Tom Tom wanted big $$ to get the upgraded maps - for the cost of two map upgrades I got a new GPS with lifetime free upgrades.
