Great radio for AM long distance
I enjoy listening to distant radio stations (DX) and this radio is one of the best for that. It has a large built in ferrite AM antenna and can be connected to external AM and FM antennas. I have not done that yet have routinely heard AM nightime stations over 1000 miles away. FM performance is very good too but I do not DX FM.Not perfect, but shortcomings are overcome by the great value and better DX performance than many radios costing much more.

Analog tuning for low noise (vs digital)
Switchable AFC for tuning weaker FM
stations
Normal/wideband for distant/local
stations
Good sound with 6" speaker and tweeter
Separate power switch (not part of
volume control)
Bass and treble controls
Long battery life
Built in AC cord
CONS:
Cheap materials and build quality
Dial is often uncalibrated/aligned
(easily fixed)
Power switch is fragile (I replaced with
a toggle switch)
