Crap

I had the misfortune of purchasing this piece of junk 6 weeks ago. After about a month, the water reservoir lid stop closing and kept popping up and leaking water everywhere. I emailed Hamilton Beach customer service and they sent me a long useless email the gist of it being "send us the defective item at your expense and we will ship you a replacement sometime in the distant future for $9.99." Yes, they have the gall to charge me for shipping (both ways!!!) because it is somehow my fault that they manufactured this junk. I tried taping the lid shut but just this morning it developed a new, fatal flaw - it is stuck in synthetic mode, which I now realize is a known issue. I am giving HB 3 days to resolve this to my satisfaction before I file complaints with every consumer protection organization in America.
