Operating speed of the HP Scanjet G4010

it was fast enough with Windows XP 32 bits system, but after I started using new computer with Windows 7 64 bits, it's a big lag with the official software installed. Looks like earlier it was scanning first and processing the data after, and now it's processing the data after every scanned page/image. I'm looking for solution.
