Hoover SteamVac F7226 Review

People buying this SteamVac maybe looking for one that rinses in addition to cleans. The rinse option is controlled by a switch on the handle. However the RINSE is a gravity feed application, while the WASH is a pressure driven application via an electric pump. The pump seems to run all the time in any mode whether the trigger is pressed or not. Most people would be better off doing a pre-treat of dirty areas with a carpet pre-treater sprayed by a garden type sprayer and then using the Hoover SteamVac to just rinse (using the WASH mode) with hot water or hot water and a carpet rinse chemical. Avoid the Hoover chemicals and those at normal stores and go to a cleaning supply house for them. I am about to try some by Bridgepoint cleaning products. Most people and many pros leave cleaning solution on the carpet when done which is not good as its the wrong pH and attracts dirt.
