Works great for heavy pet traffic.

Have had vacuum for over a year and have many pets. Vacuum still smells fresh after vacuuming lots of dog hair. Just now replacing my first belt. Will continue to work fine as long as the machine is cleaned and maintained. Happy with overall expectations.
