Poor excuse for an ice dispenser

We gutted our FL kitchen and purchased all new kitchenaid appliances. Everything is wonderful except for the ice "non" dispenser in this refrigerator. Delivered and installed in late July,2011. October, 2011, Ice dispenser door won't open, whole unit with motor needs to be replaced. Again in December, again in January, again in December, and again May, 2012. The ice from the door melts and drips down the door, making the stainless steel look awful, and making a huge mess on the floor. KitchenAid will do NOTHING. Disgusting for a $2700 refrigerator.
