vertical Lines on the screen& No screen size control

Well, I bought an LG projector about a year ago and has been in use. This particular model became useful for its short throw prowess. You can work with it when you do not have enough space. However, the problem experienced is that I can not control the size of the screen without having to move the projector! The knub by the lense is only to focus. i find this not friendly. Now that i have vertical lines on the screen, what do I do? all my electronics are LG - 3 plasmas[42"],home theatre, video player, vcd player, crt tv.
