After erroneously believing LG was a name that could be trusted, I purchased a new LG front-load washer/dryer set in September 2009. Because my old GE set was still working fine, I did not actually install the LG units until March 2011, when I gave my GE washer & dryer away. The dryer did not work right from Day One, if it worked at all. I immediately began communicating with LG, explaining that although I purchased the set over a year previous, they had remained in their shipping cartons until they were installed. They didn't care. They immediately denied any responsibility and informed me I would have to pay for service. Obviously, LG neither cares anything about consumer satisfaction nor manufacturers acceptable appliances. I have since read numerous similar complaints...some even worse...on this and other consumer complaint websites. I will NEVER purchase any LG product again. I have a brand new but "dead" dryer and cannot get any satisfaction from LG. Don't buy LG.
