Paid $399 for my Lenovo E530c laptop and $600 for service in the first month

My Lenovo E530c laptop came crammed with bloatware. I waded through setup plus 100 downloads that were billed as necessary to bring the system up to speed. I should have stopped right there and boxed the laptop for return. However, as an optimist, I kept trying to get through all the steps, believing that at any moment I'd turn the last corner and get to work. However, the system couldn't digest 57 of the downloads. At each logon the system would try to download them (20 minutes); at each logout, the system reported that it couldn't configure these downloads and therefore reverted each one (another 20 minutes). Since I was not adequately knowledgeable to correct this problem myself, I called my computer professional. He picked through layers and layers of problems for hours. Ultimately we concluded that the best thing to do would be to strip out everything that arrived with the system and start fresh. The total for his services, billed at a reasonable $60 per hour, came to $600 (so far), so this bargain laptop has now cost me a total of $1000, and I am very unhappy about that. To be fair, there are some nice features on the laptop, especially the full-size keyboard; the relevant icons on the function keys; either there is no fan needed or the fan is very quiet; the weight and balance of the machine is right for me; and once a wireless printer was set up, the laptop and printer conversed readily. Simple pleasures, to be sure, and there may not be any more from this laptop, so I might as well enjoy them. The tap pad needs explanation and I will not get one until I can access the online manual.
