For the the time it was brand new and also for the time after that

If you look for a laptop with long battery life, do not buy it. There are tons of others out there that last way longer. Even when I got mine the battery was sucked dry with moderate use in less than 2h. If you look for an allrounder that is not that lightweight, but comes with all imaginable interface possibilities, from hard wired networking to wifi, bluetooth, firewire, usb, cardreader and with vga to hdmi for video. This one is a full package deal with enoughgraphics card power to play Battlefront or even Starcraft 2 is ok if you do not go all in with all gimmicks and sfx. I played a lot Civilization, used it from email to browsing and enjoyed the very crisp high def resolution. No compare to my new Sony Vaio S with SSD, but a bargain for 2 years old technology and if you get it for a few hundred bucks, as it still is a usable device for an allround purpose.
