I brought my wife's D5000 for repair. Problem was: Whenever she took out the battery for a recharge, the Date and Time Clock would reset to 2008.
So I brought it in (to Melville). Once per week I would ask and the answer was : waiting for a part".
After more than one month I picked it up and at home put in the battery and over 2 days tested it. Each and every time I had the same old problem.
Today I called and had a Nikon Rep. on the phone. The only thing he said was: Bring it in again we will look at it.
No - I am sorry, no apology - no nothing, zero.
I myself have Nikon professional FX bodies and lenses ..... makes me think and wonder. ...
