oven turns on when temp button is bumped
when the temp button is touched,the oven turns on without pushing the on button. scary

Liked this, but....
We bought this toaster oven about 2 months ago. We loved the seperate settings for toast & bagels, and it worked very well for anything else we used it for.Unfortunately.....it just up & died on us yesterday. No warning, no previous problems - it just plain quit.
Oster does offer a 2 year warranty on this, but it was our choice not to take advantage of this. It only cost $80 brand new & the nearest authorized repair center is 1-1/2 hrs away. Didn't seem cost effective to this, given that they reserve the right to replace it with a "reconditioned" unit.
I really enjoyed this oven while it was working....hopefully you'll have better luck!
