Motor failure shame.
This has a nice design and works well for what it is. The price point is ridiculously low - and that should tell you what you can expect of this product. I used it over the course of a year on my verandahs and long driveway. The extension cord is a minor annoyance, but this can get the job done as far as your cord can reach. When the motor burns out, as mine did, you will have a large piece of useless plastic that you will need to throw away because you cannot source the part (motor) to replace in an otherwise serviceable device. I gave Operates as Advertised 4 stars because it did operate well when it operated. I gave everything else 1 star because with just that one weak link in the product with no way to salvage it- it promotes waste of material, and seems to reflect a mindset of desire for profit with no responsibility for product. My Ryobi 42102 leaf blower disintegrated while I was using it. The internal orange rotor blew to pieces and shot them out. This tool was purchased at Home Depot last year. Many consumer review web sites lists the same problem. Is there a recall replacement through Home Depot for this tool.
