Cool Design

I use Acer brand for my laptop since I was 19. It was my first time bought and familiar about laptop. The first thing I like about Acer is they have very cool design. The sofware and hardware sistem also quite good. In my place almost all my college use this brand for their laptop.

Acer Aspire 7736Z New Review

Well my review is not really for this acer but I will go over it briefly. A good and solid performer overall very large (17.3 inch) nice bright display for it's price range. Full numeric keypad(you never realize how much you missed this on a laptop until you once again have it)Many reviews have knocked the touchpad as being unuseable. I disagree the driver is simply complex because it is so very tweakable...the touchpad is very responsive and the toggle(on-off) button for the touchpad is right beside it and remains lit while blocking use to remind the stupid why it is not working. This machine shipped with a 320GB drive and win 7 home premium. While bluetooth is optional, good luck finding the card, they are rare, and putting it in is rather involved due to the level of disassembly involved. Memory maxes out at 4 GB (it shipped with one 1 GB and 1 2 GB SODIMM DDR2) video is adequate for HD movie viewing but is not good for anything but the least demanding games(it struggles with call of duty 4 MMW 1) The DVD/RW DL drive is flawless and quick enough and 4 USB 2.0 HDMI and regular monitor connectors make it very versatile Dolby home theater virtual surround sound is built in, but only active through the HDMI cable (not incl) I have never used and will not review further this feature. The 'regular sound' is a little quiet but ok for most applications. I routinely blow out the venting on the bottom and back ports so I have had no cooling issues so far. I have never needed cusatomer service. I ordered the entire 6 disc set of reinstall media from acer for under $25.00 shipped to my door, that impressed me they have wonderful driver support oin their site. My real review today was for this site "Help Owl" They are the only place online I could ever locate the 183 page service manual for this model and I downloaded it completely free after getting a free account with the site. Bravo for having it AND for the lovely free price!
