Asus m5a87 review

Asus brings reliability and top quality products time and time again. This time is no exception. The m5a87 ticks all the boxes for budget am3+ board suitable for a broad array of uses including gaming. The one drawback which is to be expected due to the price and nature of this board is the lack of a heatsink on the MOSFETs next to the CPU this limits the over clocking potential of the board. Running a phenom 1055t with a corsair h100 water cooler it was not possible to pass 3.8ghz due to the MOSFETs overheating. Besides this one drawback the board itself is fantastic.
