After much research I have concluded the best buy out there is the Canon HV30. A bold statement indeed, but what else can deliver true 1080dpi HD Hdv for under $500.Admittedly they are not available new anymore, and they are very much sort after by vidiographers who have re-discovered them.
To buy an equivalent quality one would need to spend $2500 - $3500 on a new Sony.
In the resent past one could buy a good used Canon HV30 for around $250, but how quickly the news about this now cult camcorder has spread.
