Range issue....
We have this range and its almost burnt the house down twice, it has came on by itself in the middle of the night and it had to be turned off at the breaker, another instance caused the back burner to shoot sparks from it.....it has 4 more days of warranty , it was purchased from Lowe's...we will see if they will do the right thing.

Hazardous Knob Placement
The placement of the control knobs on the Model PLES389ECE are hazardous. On four seperate occasions the range top has been turned on accidently by leaning into them while reaching for something in the cabinets located above the stove top. It has happened to me once, my wife twice and one of our grandchildren once. Each time something sitting on the stove top was destroyed by melting. We have started leaving the knobs off when we are not using it. We contacted Frigidaire regarding the problem and their response was "We are sorry you are having this problem". Has anyone else experienced this?Thanks, Jake
