Lenovo is a huge disappointment in many ways
This is the second Lenovo laptop I have purchased within 1 year. The first one, upon putting it into display mode for the SECOND TIME, cracked and the plastic came off and I immediately returned it to best buy and vowed to never get another lenovo product again.Being sick of HP and like a fool, chose the lenovo edge 15 instead of the Asus I clearly should have chosen. The FOURTH time I put it into display mode, the same exact thing happened, the plastic cracked off the hinge. Mind you, I treat my electronics gingerly and with the utmost care.
Not to mention the OS has an issue as well. Not only does lenovo detect it as a different machine, but it will not update, heats up, becomes unresponsive and as of late, keeps going to a blank screen.
In my and the opinions of many others, the clear thing to do for a machine that is not even two months old would be to replace it with another model, as this one is no longer made. What does lenovo tell me, after three weeks of being bounced around customer service? To send the machine in and that the the case manager I was assigned to, "Alison," whom, apparently, has no last name; would have it fixed and then send it back.
Why would I want a machine that has hardware and software issues? It is not even two months old. I wil keep the forum posted as I received a call from Alison's supervisor's supervisor who said if they determine it warrants a replacement they will do so. Obviously, since it isn't even made anymore, there is an issue with this machine.
We will see if they do the right thing....
