It was a good car for me
I owned this car (ZX3) for 111,000 miles (14 years). It was a 5 spd and fun to drive. After some recalls and warranty work it was very reliable. At the end it needed some expensive repairs: AC freon leak, oil pan leak, needed rotors, pads and a rusted brake line replaced. It also never had a new timing belt. For these reasons, I decided to salvage the car and purchased a 2 year old 4 door hatch (Honda Fit) with many more comfort and safety features.In 14 years, I only replaced one rear wheel bearing, one battery, one set of tires and 2 front rotors, under $600. It had a bad fuel pump but was warrantied for up to 10 years by Ford.
