THE OLD HORSE STILL WORKS!

I received this 2001 Jeep Cherokee Laredo as a gift in 2008, the car having been used as a fleet for 2 companies and only about 50,000 miles. Well, it now has 125,000 miles, and is still going. I have had to replace the transmission a few years back, and recently the front left axle and boot. A few years ago I also had to replace the entire passenger and driver electric windows, one after each winter. I am no longer going to open the windows in the winter to get my mail!! The only odd thing that I did have to replace was the driver seat, but I put that fault in the lap of my grown son who was constantly moving the chair around, and up and down, etc.. I finally found a mechanic who pulled it off this past fall, and welded it back together, as it was unsteadily sitting there on one screw!. I live upstate NY, which has ruined the undercarriage of the car, with the "crap" used in the winter for deicing the roads. I have had to replace some of the wiring to the back lights, due to this mess. I am also starting to have rust spots and holes, not many, but in odd areas. But the heat and a/c still works, its great on gas, the automatic to 4 wheel drive have had no problems, and everything else is still piping along!
