Panasonic AG-MC15 Microphone

I have just side stepped many other microphones for this little package of microphone. To simplify this review, Mount the mic, turn it on, and run n gun. I use it with a handycam and it is powered by a LR44 battery and any of the cross over matching batteries. Well built, sounds just fine (zero complaints), can be very sensitive in the right setting (meaning it grabs audio subtly's) with quite backgrounds and does a great job indoors or outdoors. The only time I ever questioned subbing this mic out was in a gym grabbing an interview and all the coaches where on the extreme 90 degree side of the mic. It is the only time the coaches where louder then the person being interviewed and because it is stereo (non shotgun directional) it hurt somewhat. So I almost and probably should have switched it out. I carry 1-SM58, 1- Azden Shotgun for camera mount, 1- Azden Stereo, this Panasonic is my go to Run n Gun mic. However, in many other events where the subject was in front of the camera, the AG-MC15 stereo does wonders in reading the feel of the environment if the sides of the incoming are NOT louder then the subject in front. Hope this was helpful, and I just been looking for another and they are Soooo hard to acquire.
