Panasonic KX-TG7623 Cordless Home Phone System
In an age when many are dropping their home phone altogether and going with only cell phones, this one may reverse the trend. Its DECT 6.0 does indeed sound far superior to what we had before, essentially eliminating all of the interference we had before. This model was chosen because I wanted to have link-to-cell capability as well as three handsets. If you want first-rate clarity with your cell phones at home or simply want to not use your cell phone because it isn't handy, once paired, you can use the KX-TG7623 instead. Just be aware that if your cell phone battery died, then this won't work as it does draw from it.For me, what really makes this whole thing work cost-effectively is having it feed off the MagicJack Plus. But that is for another review. Panasonic has opted to have few controls beyond the recorder on the base, which can be overheard on the additional handsets if you want to screen calls. But that is not to say it doesn't have a lot of features and options for settings. Keep your manual handy and you'll then be able to quickly and easily change the number of rings it will answer, switch from auto to manual setting of the time, etc. Those and lots of other features can be changed by selecting Menu, then # and the number code in their manual.
I can only imagine they have excellent customer service, which is plainly listed within the manual. So far, quickly looking in the index has gotten me whatever I needed. So I've not had to contact them for this fine product. My only regret is instead of their 7620 series, had I gotten one of their 7640 series I could also have had the memo feature for a quick "note."
