Defrost function fails, cooks the crap out of food within 3 minutes.

Not too impressed. This unit in comparison with a similar powered samsung, caused oatmeal to boil over and using the defrost function was a joke. In 3 minutes it proceeded to cook the chicken breasts I placed in it. Dreadful performance i must say and needs to go back to Costco. We don't seem to make products very well anymore. Virtually every appliance i've purchased the last few years seems to fail within 3 years. My mothers' kitchen appliances were still kicking 20 years later. Planned obsolescence is great for the corp. bottom line, but causes a dreadful amount of waste.
