RCA RTD325W (RCA Home Theatre System)
very disappointed with this product.Several months ago, the speakers went 'crazy'...loud roaringish sound so we disconnected the speakers and just used the dvd part of the player.
Tonight, the device made a odd sound and in a few minutes later, fire shot out the top of it while we were watching a Netflix DVD.
Quickly, unplugged it and disconnected it from the television. Device appears to be 'on' but does not respond to any commands.
How in the heck do I get the dvd out so I can get it back to Netflix?? Also, what if the dvd is 'fried'???
We purchased an extended warranty but it recently expired. Will not buy this devise again, that is for sure...especially if we have to pay Netflix for the dvd!

RCa RTD325W No Sound.
Only about 12 months old. No sound on anything, CD/DVD/Tuner/Aux. No way to get warranty without the receipt. Junk unit.

This unit is junk and RCA does not stand behind it
I bought the original unit from Wal-Mart as a gift for my girlfriend. In less than a year the audio output quit completely. I was told by the warranty servicer, Alco Electronics, that they would replace the unit, which was out of warranty, for a flat fee of $40. It took a long time to get the replacement and the DVD player then quit working within a month. Alco refused to refund my money. The equipment is junk, don't waste your time or money on it.

RCA #RTD325W died on me,too!
I liked it. It was inexpensive and sounded pretty good. Then one day it began making this weird buzzing sound. I thought it was only a loose speaker wire. The sound died shortly thereafter.No radio, no CD's no DVD's no nothing. My failure to get the 1 year replacement warranty at the register means I'm out $80. I only had it about 3 months.

I purchased a DVR home surround sound system model RTD325W in July 2010. It was manufactured May 2010. It is now May 2011 and it freezes up. I called customer support and was told I had to mail it to N.Y. and they would send it to Canada to be possibly repaired which I have to pay for shiping on. Also I was told it would take 6-8 weeks. I purchased it at Wal-Mart. I STRONGLY URGE YOU NOT TO PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT!
