The cover of my Samsung N210 Netbook had a small crack in the center, between the two hinges. I called Samsung. The crack grew. I called back. The asked for pictures, and then could not find them. I sent them again. After many weeks, they refused my claim saying that it had been dropped. Meanwhile, the crack grew. I stopped the propagation by drilling a small hole about one sixteenth of an inch deep.
I take great care with all of my electronics and the netbook is stored in and inner sleeve and an outer case.
