Samsung SCH-U380 Reviews
Unreliable
I've owned this phone for two years now. At first it was fine, and I liked having a full KBD and decent size display. Later it would not backup my contacts list. After that, the data connector was damaged but it would still charge, but I could not do data transfers, and since I had no data service subscription, it was pretty useless for taking pix. Yesterday it would not turn off. I removed the battery hoping it would reset but it still acts the same. I'll leave the battery out for 24 hours to see if that helps. But it is a frustrating device and I won't get another one.Cell phone won't turn off on Brightside phone.
I am having a lot of trouble with this phone on turning off or turning on. It will often go into lock mode and then not respond to the buttons that turn it off or on. If it finally turns off, you can't turn it on without removing the battery. Between that and the frozen screen, I am not very pleased. I actually loved the phone when I saw it, good keyboard, etc., but if you can't turn it off or on, or even answer it, when it decides to lock up on you, I think this is a pretty little lemon. I will be sending it back, sadly.Bluetooth problems negate otherwise useful phone.
It's not a smartphone - just enough to make texting more convenient, which is just what we wanted. Very nice at what it does in that respect. However, the supposedly advanced Bluetooth profiles don't work reliably. The buttons on the car steering wheel don't control the phone, particularly on call termination. (And yes, this car paired just fine with my previous phone, and I wouldn't have changed if my previous phone hadn't been damaged.)I have since found other reviews making this same point with other brands of car.
