Whirlpool ED5LHAXWQ
Great refrigerator. have had this 3 years and never had a problem with it.Very unhappy
Had this refrigerator for 2 1/2 years when the sealed system failed. Cost to repair was $600 and 2 weeks to fix. Whirlppol customer service offered me $75 towards a new Whirlpool. Said no thanks. Will never purchase another Whirlpool appliance in this house. That means no Maytag, Amana, Kenmore, and Kit hen Aid as well as they are all made by Whirlpool. Buyer be ware!Poor quality ice dispenser
We recently moved into a house that already had one of these fridges with it. It didn't take long for us to decide that we will replace it at our earliest opportunity. The problem is with the ice dispenser in the door. We have been in the house 3 months, and already it has jammed w/ ice and frozen solid 3 times. The ice cubes will freeze into one solid mass connecting the ice bucket inside the freezer door with the dispenser reservoir beneath the bucket. There is a trigger on the side of the bucket that is supposed to release it from the door, but it does not work with the ice being frozen solid inside of it. We were able to somehow remove the bucket to thaw out the block of ice the first two times, but this last time has been a doozy trying to get it out.As far as space goes, being a side-by-side, it makes it difficult for storing large items such as casserole dishes and pizza boxes. The shelves can be adjusted to different heights, but the have a sloped plastic bracket on the top of the shelf which reduces the amount of shelf space that can be used.
My recommendation is to consider a different brand or model, particularly a French door style.
