Whirlpool LTG5243DQ8 - 24' Twin Washer/Dryer - Failed in reliability

We purchased an LTG5243DQ8 from Carlsons Appliance in Santa Monica on Jan 31, 2010. It had performed fine till yesterday Sept 22, 2011. The washer failed to start. I followed troubleshooting instructions in Owner's Manual without success. I called Whirlpool Factory Service Center; the first available appointment to diagnose problem would be Sept 29, 2011. I then called a local appliance repair AAA Aplpliance Service. They fixed the problem on site by replacing the water level pressure/switch controlling device (part#:131692100; made in Mexico). This part was very badly burned out in 20 months!!! This is not a reliable washer/dryer. Whirlpool customer service is not timely; one has to wait for a week for a service call.
